Jocassee Gorges roads to open Sept. 15
For the fifth year in a row, all the Jocassee Gorges main access roads will be opened as planned on Thursday, Sept. 15. Roads will remain open until Jan. 15, 2012. The roads will open again in spring 2012 from March 20 through May 10.

The Oconee Nuclear Station will be the first of 104 US reactors to go digital.
Fair Play Strategic Plan
One of the major strengths of Fair Play is its strong sense of social capital. However, our study has shown that there are many different preferences among residents of the Fair play area.The strongest differences are found between longtime residents and newcomers/recreational residents. It impedes growth in social capital as well as economic development.

Subjects included: Progress being made to provide sewer infrastructure for south Oconee, Current economic status of the upstate, And a CU student project analyzing the economy of the area.
